Abstract Aim Understanding the incidence and epidemiology can inform clinicians policymakers about needs of population. There is no recent, large UK-based study on upper limb fractures. Our reports fractures treated at a major trauma centre over 7-year period Method We collected data fracture locations, age, gender, Charlson Comorbidity index (CCI), treatment options all Level I Trauma Centre from January 2015 to 2022. Humerus, radius, ulna were each classified as proximal, diaphyseal distal. Results 9915 patients sustained 12502 fractures, given an overall 313 per 100,000 year. The patients/year was: Scapula-16.5, clavicle-30.9, humerus-57.5, radius-84.2, ulna-57.0, carpal-9.5, metacarpal-17.2, phalanges-38.8. mean age CCI 48.2 years 1.72, respectively. 56.4% male. All bone distal elbow associated with younger than (all p<0.001), humerus having oldest (54.6). Compared gender ratio, except for (no association), (55% female) radius (51% female), other locations showed significantly higher incidences males p<0.001). Conclusions To our knowledge, this represents first type in UK since 2006. sought elucidate relative demographic associations highlight changing population allow guidelines services regional national level operate up-to-date information.
